I completed a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Education from Georgia State University (GSU). Currently, I am working toward earning a specialist degree in Educational Leadership from GSU. Additionally, I obtained English to Speakers of Other Languages/English Learners (ESOL/ELs) and Mathemethic (P-5) certifications from GSU.
During my ten years in education, I have taught general education students and ELs in elementary schools. Co-teaching in homeroom and special education classes also strengthened my instructional skills and strategies. I have worked closely with Department Chairs, Assistant Principal, and Principal in various projects and programs. I have been the Coordinator for Title III ESOL Tutorial Program since 2016. Also, I have worked as an ESOL Curriculum Writing Team member for elementary and middle school curriculum for International Center in Dekalb County. Some professional experiences include a lead classroom teacher, an ESOL teacher, and a department chairperson.
I believe in working together and best practices. I am grateful for our collective efforts to strengthen the bonds among the school, family, and community for our student’s social, emotional, and academic success!
